We investigate the growth of black holes and their spheroids using several high-redshift far-infrared hyper-luminous QSO samples. By applying the same criteria established in an earlier work for local infrared ultra-luminous QSOs (IR QSOs), we find that these objects also have far-infrared excess as IR QSOs. Under the assumption that this excess originates from dust predominantly heated by starbursts, we find that the ratio of the star formation rate to the accretion rate of the central supermassive black hole is about several hundred, consistent with the correlation between the spheroid mass and the black hole mass seen in local galaxies, which demonstrates that the growth of black holes and their host spheroids occur simultaneously at this short transitionary phase.
