Spectra are presented which indicate that the giant IC 4651 23 has enhanced λ4216 CN and λ4300 CH bands relative to other giants with similar temperatures and gravities in this open cluster. Interpretation of the DDO δ CN indices and the CH band observations with the use of model atmospheres and synthetic spectra indicates that only mild (⪉0.1 dex) [C/A] or [N/A] excesses are needed in star 23 to explain the observations.
