We call attention on our recent NIR observations of the gamma ray source 1FGL J0050.6-0928, an intermediate redshift Blazar PKS0048-097 (z=0.634), also known as FBQS J0050-0929. The observations were carried out with the CANICA NIR camera on the 2.1m telescope at the Observatorio Astrofísico Guillermo Haro, located in Cananea, Mexico. We found this blazar to be in outburst. It shows fluxes about 1.7 magnitudes brighter than our previous NIR photometry (JD2455450.944784, H = 14.427 ± 0.11).
