The characteristic curves of various films as a function of the wavelength were studied, taking into account the wavelength range from 2.1 to 44.8 A. Attention was given to sensitivity differences within one sheet and one batch and to a decrease in film sensitivity due to an aging effect. Tests involving the Cu L line showed for one film after a time of 10 weeks a decrease in sensitivity of about 36%. The environmental effects in the case of film emulsions are discussed and procedures for film calibration are recommended.
