An investigation conducted by Prentice (1973) concerning a relation between a small burnt out solar central core and a low neutrino flux is considered. It is demonstrated that supersonic turbulence within a metal-rich burning central convective core provides the necessary physical mechanism required for obtaining the conditions suitable for a low neutrino flux after 4.7 billion years of nuclear evolution.
