Fifteenth order resonance occurs when the orbital period is such that the earth turns through 24 deg relative to the orbital plane between successive equator crossings, so that the ground track of the satellite over the earth is repeated after 15 revolutions. In this case the terms of order 15 in the earth's gravitational field produce perturbations. An analysis of the variation in inclination on the basis of seven orbits is discussed along with analyses of the variations in eccentricity, in right ascension, and in argument of perigee.
