Data on Long Delayed Radio Echoes (LDE), first received in the late 1920s, are discussed. Two types, 'clear' and 'blurred' LDE, are distinguished. Further experiments are proposed on LDE. They are probably natural ionospheric phenomena, rather than transmissions from an interstellar probe of non-human origin. Guidelines for searching for a possible probe are proposed. The question of whether and how to reply to such a probe is raised.
