Spin observables in proton quasifree scattering have been measured aiming at investigating the effect of hadron-mass modifications in nuclear field. In addition to the analyzing power Ay at an incident energy of 392 MeV, a density dependent reduction, which is extracted from target dependence, of induced polarization P was newly observed at 1 GeV. Those data are consistent with a model calculation where the hadron-mass modifications are taken into account. The spin-transfer coefficients Dij, at 392 MeV, do not show distinct density dependence while the calculation predicts strong dependence for some of the coefficients. But it is shown that these coefficients are quite sensitive to each meson-mass reduction. A discussion is given also for finite P-Ay and Dpq+Dqp values caused by a relativistic effect, which are eliminated by the time reversal invariance for the proton-proton scattering in free space. .
