Numerical integrations of three-body systems have been carried out to establish the sufficient criteria for the stability of triple stars. In addition, numerical integrations of unstable five-body systems have been performed to examine the statistics of the formation of binaries and stable triples. The number of triples compared to binaries produced by dynamical decay is consistent with the observed frequencies of these systems.
