The results of the investigation of the H I absorption obtained with the Ratan-600 radio telescope combined with other data indicate that the cold gas consists of four or five arms inside each of the spiral arms. These structures are parallel to the main axes of the spiral arms and have a width of 100 pk, a distance between them of 200 pk and a length along the arms of up to 10 kpk.
