A basic description of the extragalactic peculiar velocity field is derived from an all-sky survey of spiral galaxies. Although no single attractor explains all of the motions in nearby galaxies, the region surrounding the Centaurus clusters has the dominant effect. It is proposed that the Great Attractor (Lynden-Bell et al., 1988) is in this region. The velocity of the Local Group relative to Virgo is estimated. A preliminary search in other regions shows a significant infall of galaxies towards the northern end of the Perseus supercluster.
