We present the main results of our ongoing program to study the central parsec of the Galaxy in the ˜2.8 μm to ˜5 μm spectral region. For the first time intrinsic spectra of a significant number of sources and datacubes are presented. These spectra suggest that unlike previous beliefs, a substantial amount of water and CO ices, hydrocarbons and gaseous CO is likely to be present locally in the central parsec.
