Observations were conducted from March, 1988 to February 1989, in order to construct a high-resolution map of Mars, monitor the south polar cap's shrinkage, record meteorological events, and observe the planet's color. Excellent agreement was obtained between the present map and the observations obtained by others in 1988. A tabulation of all bright limb areas observed from March 13 to October 13, 1988 suggests a migration of bright morning limb features from the south polar latitudes to the equator, consistent with the seasonal migration of water vapor observed by the Viking Orbiters.
