An exact solution of the MHD equations for an incompressible plasma flow with a perturbation source is obtained. Magnetic and electric fields and currents in a stationary Alfven structure arising in the plasma flow are calculated. It is shown that two different solutions to the problem exist, one of which is essentially nonlinear. The results are of interest in connection with structures arising during the motion of Io in the Jovian magnetosphere.
