Redshifts and spectrophotometry are presented for eight faint QSOs identified with 3C and 3CR radio sources. Seven of these objects are quite red (alpha-opt. not less than 2.5) such that photoionization by the extrapolated nonthermal ultraviolet continuum appears unable to explain the observed emission line spectrum. 3C 93 and 3C 216, previously believed to be BL Lacertae objects, are shown to be relatively strong-lined QSOs with redshifts z = 0.357 and 0.670, respectively
