After considering that, for a given value of the effective temperature (ET) the correction in (B-V) due to line blanketing varies linearly with the metallicity parameter (MP), relationships between reciprocal ET and the intrinsic reddening-free photometric color are tabulated for different groups of stars having a differing MP. Various empirical relationships for obtaining the ETs of RR Lyr variables are examined, and it is concluded that taking the effect of metallicity into account would reduce inaccuracies in the resulting estimates. In addition, an examination of the coefficients in the P-L-C relation shows that for the range of metallicity and ETs of RR Lyr stars, the effect of metallicity on the absolute magnitude ranges from 0.22 m to 0.42 m.
