Two types of geometrical models for pulsar polarization were developed previously: the nonrelativistic single-vector model, in which the emission comes from near the neutron star surface, and the relativistic single-vector model, where the emission originates in small regions orbiting the neutron star near the speed-of-light cylinder. In the present paper, the generalized single-vector model is fitted to published polarization data for the Crab and Vela pulsars, the simple pulsars PSR 1642-03 and PSR 0329+54, as well as PSR 0809+74, which exhibits subpulses that drift toward earlier times in the integrated pulse. It is shown that the subpulse polarization variations of all these pulsars may be adequately understood in terms of the relativistic model and that the polarization variations within the subpulses of at least the Crab pulsar and PSR 1642-03 are inconsistent with the nonrelativistic model. The possibility is considered that some pulsars may have two orthogonally polarized emission processes.
