The 1665- and 1667-MHz transitions of OH have been observed in Comet
West, and an upper limit for the 1612-MHz transition has been
determined. The fluxes imply an OH production rate for the whole comet
of roughly 2 by 10 to the 29th power per sec at a heliocentric distance
of 1.09 AU.
