The case of starbursts that are induced by galaxy interactions that bring fresh, low-metallicity gas to a host galaxy is addressed by a simulation of star formation events superimposed on old populations during the last 3 billion years. The composite spectrum evolution is followed for burst/old-population mass ratios of 10, 1, and 0.1. Attention is also given to the effects of the starburst on the restframe BVRI magnitudes and colors, as well as on the equivalent widths for a set of metallic and Balmer lines.
