Interstellar Matter: Aluminum, Novae: Nucleosynthesis

Scientific paper

The results of various models of novae for the origin of the interstellar 26Al are reviewed. A constraint on the abundance ratio X(22Na)/X(26Al) produced by novae is discussed, based on the observation from space. The conclusion is that all the nova models up to now are hard to provide enough detected interstellar 26Al.
