Infrared spectra of fine-grained diamond-like residues extracted from
Allende meteorites were measured. For comparison with these spectra, we
also measured the spectra of synthetic diamond particles. We show that
some of the minor unidentified diffuse interstellar bands (UIBs) might
be expected to arise from diamond-like grains.
