In the paper, `The Neutral Hydrogen Distribution of NGC 3079," by Judith A. Irwin and E. R. Seaquist (ApJ, 371,111 [1991]), the volume densities, n_max_, listed in Table 5 were underreported by a factor of 5. Subsequently, the modeled central densities range from 0.2 to 0.45 cm^-3^, bringing these values closer in line with those of the Galaxy (cf.~0.3). Values of N_H_mod_ (col. [6] of Table 6) are not affected by this change, since they are derived from the modeled intensity maps (of correct magnitude), rather than the modeled density distribution. All other quantities and conclusions in the paper are, likewise, unaffected.
