We study a third kernel of the white-light flare of 1982 June 15, which presents little continuum emission, and it is not particularly bright in H-alpha. However, it is the brightest kernel as seen in lines formed in the midchromosphere. We find that the energy requirements to sustain this kernel are similar to the ones required for the white-light kernels, but the energy is deposited higher. We find that these requirements are compatible with the energy deposited by an electron beam with an input energy flux of 2 x 10 exp 8 ergs/sq cm/s, a low-energy cutoff of 45 keV and a spectral index delta = 6.
