Results are presented on the molecular cloud content in an early-type galaxy (NGC 404). The NGC galaxy shows a strong CO emission in the J = 1-0 and J = 2-1, as well as the (C-13)O, J = 1-0 line, detected for the first time in an early-type galaxy. The CO was mapped in the J = 1-0 and J = 2-1 lines, resulting in an elongated molecular cloud which appears to follow the most prominent dust lane in the central region of the galaxy, which might be part of an annular structure around the nucleus. It is estimated that NGC 404 is situated at a distance of about 10 Mpc, and, thus, should be classified as an S0 galaxy. The total molecular cloud mass is estimated to be 7 x 10 to the 7th solar masses.
