This paper examines shock fronts in extragalactic jets which are propagating at some angle with respect to the flow direction, using a model of 'superluminal oblique shocks' which considers a scissors effect between this shock front and a linear structure parallel to the flow. It is shown that a diffusive acceleration of electrons and synchrotron emissions are possible at the intersection of the shock and this feature, because of the presence there of relativistic electrons or a magnetic field. It is found that this model is more satisfactory than the simple beaming model.
