The paper continues a survey of instruments used in radio astronomy. Design features of radio telescopes such as parabolic reflectors are examined. A 30-m telescope for use in the mm-range is described which will be capable of observation down to a wavelength of 1.8 mm, with a development goal of 1.3 mm. Attention is also given to incoherent radiometers (Bolometer) and coherent radiometers, noting the principle of Schottky-diodes. Finally the founding of a German-French Institute for Radioastronomy (IRAM) which will reduce the operating costs and increase the scientific yield of the project is discussed.
