We carried out a near-infrared survey around PKS 1343601 in 2001 May. The central part of the Hydra cluster (A1060) was also observed in 2002 February and March for reference and calibration purposes. The observations were made with SIRIUS, a simultaneous imager in the J (1.26um), H (1.63um) and Ks (2.14um) bands, covering an area 7.7x7.7arcmin2 with a pixel scale of 0.45" on the IRSF (InfraRed Survey Facility) 1.4-m telescope at the Sutherland site of the South African Astronomical Observatory.
