Relative yields of the Al-26 (5+) ground state, or Al-26(g), and the nearby 0(+) level, or Al-26(m), are derived from previous data on the Mg-25 (p, gamma) reaction for bombarding-proton energies of 0.3 to 1.72 MeV. When averaged over this energy range, the reaction yields are found to be in the ratio, Al-26(m)/Al-26(g) equals approximately 1/3. The significance of this yield ratio for nucleosynthesis in massive stars is briefly considered.
