Results are presented for a comprehensive OH survey covering the entire region of the galactic plane from 337 deg galactic longitude at one southern limit to 270 deg at the other. All four OH 18-cm lines were observed (with a few exceptions) at a total of 1766 positions to a typical sensitivity of 0.65 Jy for point sources or 0.18 K for extended sources. Previous OH surveys are summarized, the general nature of the survey reported is discussed, and the observational techniques and parameters are described, along with the data-reduction procedure. Spectral-line data are provided in the forms of plots, a table of line parameters, and a user magnetic tape available on request. The results obtained indicate distinctly different OH distributions for three regions of the Galaxy, for which the respective fractions of positions with detectable OH are 75%, 51%, and 19%.
