On the basis of the kinetic transport theory for dilute gases, a consistent description of the evolution of a spherical gas-duct nebula around a given central object is developed. By considering the nebula as a multicomponent gas-duct mixture, the internal interactions of which are described microscopically, both the hydrodynamic phenomena and the diffusion effects between the individual components are properly taken into account. The collisional coupling of the dust grains to the ambient medium is investigated and the importance of the dust charge is discussed. The method described applies with some modifications to a wide class of objects such as H II-regions, cocoon stars, shells of planetary nebulae and even extended atmospheres of late type stars.
