An early visual light curve, observed some 70 years ago and ever since the only known source of detailed photometric information on the EB-type binary TX Cas, has been tentatively analysed with the Wilson-Devinney model approach, to estimate the system parameters, and to test the hypothesis of an 'early' evolutionary status prior to the phase of mass reversal. The results, though not yet adequate to accurately determine the evolutionary stage, still support the assumption of a massive main-sequence binary close to the contact phase.
