Synthetic light curve solutions for the W UMa-system BV Dra have been determined by applying the Wilson and Devinney approach to UBV-observations of 1979 - 1980 and BV-observations of 1976. All solutions are very similar and correspond to a system with an overcontact configuration and an A-type light curve. A reasonable solution results from the assumption of a G1 V spectral type for the primary component. Solutions with a F7 V spectral type for the primary component are also presented. The photometric mass ratios are close to the spectroscopic values.
