Upper limits are reported for regular optical pulsations in Cen X-3 of
0.006 mag and for flickering of 0.01 mag. The large reddening of the
source is consistent with the field reddening at a distance of from 5 to
10 kpc, but in view of observational selection in such data, firm
conclusions are not made about the absolute magnitude of the primary.
