A semicompound diffusion model is suggested which combines the random separation of galactic field lines with compound diffusion. The diffusion's being one-dimensional is restricted to regions in which the field lines being initially gyroradius apart remain well-correlated. Assuming particle escape at the edges of the galactic disc the mean confinement time is given. Also discussed are the direction and magnitude of the anisotropy as well as its angular structure.
