GRB011211 was detected by the BeppoSAX satellite on December 11, 2001. ToO observation with the XMM-Newton was performed in about 6 hours after the notification. All three XMM detectors registered gradually declining X-ray flux from a point source 1 arcmin off the reported by the BeppoSAX position. We discuss spectral evolution of the source based on our analysis of publicly available XMM-Newton data.
