Study of equilibrium stability of synchronous satellites of a rotating triaxial planet whose potential is approximated by the mutual force function of four fixed centers (material points). It is shown that two of the four positions of relative equilibrium are unstable, while the other two are stable in a first approximation with respect to the values of the equatorial planetocentric coordinates and their first derivatives. Conditions for the equilibrium stability of the latter positions are identified.
