The energy method is used to analyze the stability of differentially rotating white dwarfs and to calculate their parameters, particularly the dependence of mass on central density, for different fixed values of angular momentum. The effects of beta capture and general relativity are taken into account in the analysis. It is shown that rapid rotation suppresses the effects of both beta capture and general relativity, thus allowing the existence of stable white dwarfs with up to 3 solar masses and central densities that are two orders of magnitude higher than those of static configurations.
