We investigate lensing by spiral galaxy disks in dark matter halos and study the effect of the disk on the cross sections for both the formation of multiple images and high magnifications, using a numerical simulation. We present an outline of the methods used and discuss in detail the effect of lens parameters, the inclination angle of the disk and the disk to halo mass ratio.
