We examine the effects of neutrino oscillations, into other flavors and into sterile neutrinos, on the value of the Paschos-Wolfenstein ratio. We show that these emendations of the standard model (SM) tend to produce changes opposite to those observed experimentally by the NuTeV collaboration. We also discuss the extension to the case of oscillations into `sterile' neutrinos which have non-SM interactions (such as V+A).
