We investigate the dynamics of relativistic explosions under the assumption that most energy is released by the GRB progenitor in a form of toroidal magnetic fields (relativistic magnetic bubble). Inside the force-free (and possibly baryon-free) causally connected bubble the hoop stresses of the magnetic field produce a non-spherically symmetric outflow with Lorentz factor of the containing contact discontinuity increasing towards the polar axes defined by the rotation of the progenitor. Such expanding magnetic bubble will produce a similarly anisotropic blast wave. Dissipative current instabilities developing near the axes and possibly at the contact discontinuity result in particle acceleration and high energy emission.
