Between 1996 July and 2002 April, the Wide Field X-Ray Camera (WFC) and Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor (GRBM) aboard the X-ray astronomy satellite BeppoSAX detected 62 and 1092 cosmic gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), respectively.
