Self-similar solutions for a weak toroidal magnetic field transported by a turbulent jet of incompressible fluid are obtained. The profiles of the self-similar solutions form a discrete spectrum of eigenfunctions of a linear differential operator. Strong departures from the magnetic flux conservation law, as used frequently in turbulent jet models for extragalactic radio sources, are found.
