A considerable number of new linear polarization measures is presented for the hot, massive close binary Y Cyg. The interstellar polarization component is difficult to evaluate, but it is shown that the choice of value does not significantly change subsequent conclusions. Although most of the data have been acquired with a blue filter, a few ultraviolet, green, and red measures have been made, and these indicate that the polarization spectrum derives from free electrons. Most of the scatterers apparently are localized in the volume between the stars, and some evidence of wind activity emanating from the hot star is also indicated. A few circular measures seem to indicate a variable and, therefore, intrinsic V component. Mechanisms for the production of this circular polarization are briefly discussed.
