We have examined stability of collinear equilibrium points in the generalised photogravitational elliptic restricted three body problem. The problem is generalised in the sense that the smaller primary is considered as an oblate spheroid and the bigger primary is taken as a source of radiation. We have found the characteristic equation of the problem. We conclude that collinear equilibrium points are unstable
