Scientific paper

The real-time simulation and acquisition equipment at the Laboratoire d'Astronomie Spatiale is presently arranged for the automatic calibration of three astronomical instruments on board the D-2B satellite. After a functional description of these instruments and a review of the calibration methods, the real-time simulation and acquisition equipment, its functions and performance are discussed. The software for running this equipment is then described, together with the major difficulties encountered during the programing and operational stages.
