Geodesic properties are examined for a spinning naked singularity which arises in the Kerr metric when the angular momentum of the source exceeds its gravitational mass. Orbital and vortical motions of freely falling particles outside the equatorial plane are described, and the geodesics that define repulsion and acceleration of particles near the singularity are analyzed. Particle acceleration by a spinning singularity is then analyzed from the viewpoint of a stationary time-bound observer.
