Sixteen evolutionary sequences with various initial hydrogen-helium distributions are presented to test Prentice's hypothesis of a solar configuration with a hydrogen-exhausted core surrounded by a hydrogen-rich burning area that would result in a marked reduction in the solar neutrino flux. Sequences with hydrogen-exhausted cores, hydrogen-deficient cores, and hydrogen-rich cores are described, and the calculated neutrino fluxes are tabulated. It is found that Prentice's configuration cannot be achieved in any evolutionary sequence due to convective mixing of hydrogen, but a helium deficiency in the interior of the sun could survive convective mixing and result in the calculated neutrino flux.
