The statistics of meteorite falls and meteorite finds with respect to time, mass and position are reviewed. Numbers of falls are tabulated as a function of year for the period 1730-1975, month of fall, local time of fall, mass of fall and find for the iron, stony iron and stone meteorites, and latitudinal distribution of falls and finds. The results can be interpreted in terms of world population distribution as well as the orbits of meteorite precursors, and atmospheric entry effects.
