We have analysed the low-lying energy levels of the hydrogen atom in a
strong magnetic field. Isolation of the nearest singularity allows us to
obtain expressions for energy levels in the strong-field limit. The
resulting spectrum can simulate a redshifted hydrogenic spectrum and may
have significant implications for astrophysical observations.
