The variations of coma abundances with heliocentric distances in the range 0.125-2.0 AU are considered. Comparisons with observed abundance variations provide a stringent test of basic physical assumptions. The coma's opacity to solar radiation is included, and photolytic reaction rates are calculated, for the case of a parent volatile mixture similar to that found in interstellar molecular clouds is assumed. Tabulations are presented of (1) profiles through the coma of number density and column density for H2O, OH, O, CN, C2, C3, CH, and NH2, and (2) whole comma abundances of NH2, CH, C2, C3, CN, OH, CO(+), H2O(+), CH(+), N2(+), and CO2(+).
